Charlesworth Sykes was established in Hong Kong in 2005 as a boutique consultancy with a special focus on Asia's global expansion.
In response to the requirements of certain multinational clients, a risk mitigation offering was launched in 2015. This has become the principal driver of the business today.
The company moved its headquarters to London in 2018.

Christopher is Charlesworth Sykes's Chairman and business development director. He started his career in the Colonial Service in Hong Kong and then served as a diplomat in HM Foreign & Commonwealth Office before moving into financial services. He has over two decades' experience as a business consultant. He holds an MA in Chinese from Cambridge University. He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
