Charlesworth Sykes was established in Hong Kong in 2005 as a boutique consultancy with a special focus on Asia's global expansion.
In response to the requirements of certain multinational clients, a risk mitigation offering was launched in 2015. This has become the principal driver of the business today.
The company moved its headquarters to London in 2018.

CHRISTOPHER SYKES

Christopher is Charlesworth Sykes's Chairman and business development director. He started his career in the Colonial Service in Hong Kong and then served as a diplomat in HM Foreign & Commonwealth Office before moving into financial services. He has over two decades' experience as a business consultant. He holds an MA in Chinese from Cambridge University. He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
LACHLAN SYKES
Director of Operations

Lachlan is Director of Operations and joined Charlesworth Sykes in 2016. He started his career in the in-house legal department of a multinational property business. He then joined a leading London-based corporate intelligence firm where he spent several years working on enhanced due diligence projects and dispute resolution strategy. Lachlan holds an MA in Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin and has been called to the bar of England and Wales. He is also an accredited mediator.
SUSAN WOODS

Susan has been Head of Research at Charlesworth Sykes since 2006. She has over 25 years' experience managing research projects and executive search assignments across a wide range of industries and jurisdictions. She has particular expertise in the areas of asset management, private and investment banking and Board level operations directors. She holds a BA in History from the University of Leicester.
JEREMY CHEUK
Senior Advisor

Jeremy is Senior Advisor and lives in Shanghai. He has over 25 years’ experience in financial services specialising in debt capital markets and interest rate derivatives. Most recently, he co-founded two digital media companies in China and served as a Board Member/ CEO of Julien’s International Entertainment Group (TW 6595). He is currently the Chairman and Founder of BaaBaa Emotive Asset Management Group. Jeremy holds a BSc Economics Degree from London University (SOAS). He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
